Well I’ll paint these white walls
With the blood on my hands
And I’ll lock this house up
so they never find them
With my demons all killed
and locked in the basement
I’ll never come home
I must escape them
Lord lift me up, from the hell I come from
Lord lift me up, to the well of stardom
Lord lift me up, if you ever had love for me
Or give me up, to the devil's army
Well I’ve never claimed God
As a reason I live
But I’ll give you more love
In a night than Jesus
With my pagan hands up
Doing hallelujah
I’ll knock this house down
Then I’ll Sunday school ya
Lord lift me up, from the hell I come from
Lord lift me up, to the well of stardom
Lord lift me up, if you ever had love for me
Or give me up, to the devil's army
This album rips off such heavy riffs hard from start to finish. I love the bluesy swing with the vocals, the screaming guitar, thundering bass and delirious, vital, pounding and crashing drums. Every track is great. frogczar
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
